A Colourful Commercial Office Renovation
This was one of the exciting office renovation projects we’ve successfully completed. We managed to accommodate the space into something the employees and visitors would love. The renovation project was completed in a timely manner as agreed with the client. The client selected a multi-coloured theme which featured bold colours on the floor, walls, and doors.
Bringing colour into the office space
The client wanted to add energy into the space by incorporating bolder colours. We achieved this by incorporating a multi-colour theme on the floors. Each office door matches the colours of the accent wall. In each room, we incorporated a different colour scheme, keeping in mind how well it blends with the accent walls. Overall, the colour added a sense of personality to the office space. It also worked well with the client’s branding which is exactly what they needed to achieve by revamping the entire space.
Fulfilling all building codes
Before we began this project, we went ahead and got drawings, city permits and building management approval. One thing that is important to our team is to ensure that all renovations fulfill any new building codes. In this case, we installed a steel door frame and steel doors with handicap accessibility to ensure the office space is up to code. Other components such as the sprinklers, electrical plugs, low voltage data, fire alarm bell, HVAC diffusers and air returns were completed by licensed trades to ensure all building codes are met.
A unique flooring design
This office incorporated a different flooring pattern which added subtle texture and a unique design. This floor pattern gave the office a sophisticated look in a less dramatic way. The flooring design reflected the brand’s ideals and character. With installing a unique vinyl base colour, it added a nice touch to an urban feel which was a good way for the brand to embrace its surroundings.
Transforming the space with special lighting
Better lighting in an office space means more satisfaction and increased productivity. One of the client’s goals was to create a well-lit office space and we managed to achieve this in different ways. We used tempered glass for wall inserts to bring in more light into the offices. We used a range of patterns that complement their unique style and taste. To enhance energy efficiency, we installed a light sensor in each office which ensures that the lighting goes off when there are no movements inside the office.
Project summary
With smart planning, we were able to succeed in this office renovation project. We started by setting the goals and then identifying the specific areas of concern with the client. After understanding the specific expectations for various aspects of the renovation, we set a realistic budget and timeline for the project. We had a strong team working on the project and we developed a sense of ownership for the project from the start to end.
